To whom it may concern,
St Martin de Porres school have been using the services of Sustainable Fire Protection for the past 12 months. We made the change from our previous contractor as we were not happy with their service or pricing.

Since making the change to Sustainable Fire Protection, we have been very happy with their level of service, pricing and communication.

They replaced all of our existing extinguishers as they were all due for either testing or replacement and have since then done all our 6 monthly testing of the extinguishers, hose reels and hydrants.

They note any repairs that are required and then promptly send a quote. Once the quote is accepted, the repairs are undertaken in a very timley manner.

I would have no hesitation in recommending Sustainable Fire Protection to any companies looking to making a change in contractor.

Hi there, I have been a fire warden for 20 years. Our trainer today Tom was by far the best we have ever had. His delivery was professional and thorough, but more importantly, it was interesting! We have had trainers in the past who have been quite the opposite (espeically telling lame jokes!). The whole group agreed that Tom did a fantastic job and held our attention for nearly 45 minutes.

Frequently Asked Questions

Find answers to some common questions regarding our services:

Fire Extinguishers along with other Fire Equipment are required to be serviced every 6 months in South Australia.
Some items may require to be tested more frequently, such as Fire Alarm Panels. It's imporant that you speak with us to ensure that your equipment is being tested when it is supposed to be.

Exit and Emergency Lights must have an inspection and a 90-minute discharge (power fail test) every 6 months.

The discharge component of this inspection is to ensure that the battery back up works correctly for the 90 minutes, as required by Australian Standards.

Generally, as Fire Extinguishers are also required to be tested every 6 months, it can be more economical for your Fire Protection company to complete both the Exit & Emergency Light Inspection and the Fire Equipment Service at the same time.

Some sites, depending on the type and size of building, may also require Monthly visual Exit & Emergency Light inspections.

Yes, however, if your recent services were completed by a different company or have not been completed at all, we may need to attend your site to conduct an inspection or service before signing this.

Australian Standard 3745 requires all facilities in Australia to have Evacuation Diagrams as part of their Emergency Plan. These Evacuation Diagrams should be displayed in places that are visible to all occupants.

Evacuation Diagrams are required to be updated every 5 years.
